Cardinal Engineering is always looking for qualified candidates for emerging opportunities in the following disciplines:

Hull, Mechanical & Electrical (HM&E) Systems Engineer

Provides HM&E systems engineering support to our U.S. Navy ship and submarine programs.  B.S. degree in Engineering required (advanced degree desired).  Specific knowledge of and experience with shipboard auxiliary systems, machinery systems, thermal management techniques and survivability preferred.  Mid-level (5-10 years) and senior-level (10-20+ years) opportunities available.  Candidate must have or be able to obtain and hold a SECRET security clearance.

Electrical / Power Systems Engineer

Provides electrical and power system engineering support to our U.S. Navy ship and submarine programs.  B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering required (advanced degree desired).  Specific knowledge of and experience with shipboard electrical power systems, power electronics, power quality and energy storage systems preferred.  Familiarity with MIL-STD 1399-300B a plus.  Mid-level (5-10 years) and senior-level (10-20+ years) opportunities available.  Candidate must have or be able to obtain and hold a SECRET security clearance.

Structural Engineer

Structural Engineer with experience in Finite Element Analysis to perform shock analysis on equipment for U.S. Navy combatants.  Individual must be proficient in FEMAP software code.  Position requires at least three years of hands-on analytical, technical and structural engineering experience. Experience with Dynamic Design Analysis Method (DDAM) a plus.  B.S. degree required in Engineering, Naval Architecture or other technical discipline with exposure to the design and analysis of naval structures. Ideal candidates are highly motivated and innovative individuals capable of working both independently and with teams of engineers towards solving highly technical engineering problems and meeting program goals.

Mechanical / Marine Engineer

Provides mechanical and/or marine engineering support to U.S. Navy ship & submarine programs and U.S. DOE marine energy programs. B.S. degree required in Engineering, Naval Architecture or another technical discipline.  Prefer candidates with ship design and Research, Development, Test & Evaluation experience.  Prefer individuals that can effectively manage a wide variety of tasks.  Candidate must have or be able to obtain and hold a SECRET security clearance.

Ocean Energy Engineer / Scientist

Provides support to our Department of Energy business area.  Bachelor’s degree in Marine Science or Engineering required and an advanced degree in Engineering or other technical discipline is desired.  Experience directly supporting government customers and informing and technical and policy decisions related to managing a diverse Research, Development, Test and Evaluation portfolio desired. Must have excellent writing and communication skills.
